Summary about Fighting Childhood Obesity: it's A Family Affair

    In the NPR "Fighting Childhood Obesity: It's A Family Affair"(2011), Sarah Varney focuses on Packard Pediatric Weight Control Program after it is tested on some kids. First, this program teaches kids to eat healthy food and do exercises. For example, Gabriel one who joined this program. This program is designed around  at traffic light: soda and cookies is are reds and other foods are yellow and green. Basically , this program isn't a diet, it just teaches how to improve your eating and exercise habits for lifetime. Kids who graduated from this program became more worried about their weights as well. At Standford, this program has an enviable success rate. Gabriel has still kept eating healthy foods and doing exercises, by this program. Finally, the goal for teens is to maintain a healthy weight.
